In-person creative community experiences that parents want and families need to make modern family life feel better.

We run grassroots and B2B2C events that support the creation of a new family leisure landscape; one that promotes in-person community and parent wellbeing, and tackles the rising isolation and overwhelm so many parents feel.

What We Do

Our Roadmap to Change

2024

Grassroots events in Worthing

What began as an experiment in 2024 into a new way of doing family events, became a deep dive into exactly what was missing from the parent experience. Over 30 months of feedback from over 500 parents has led to the creation of our What Parents Want + What Families Need ‘New Family Leisure Landscape Manifesto.’ This is our active events + feedback programme happening weekly across Worthing.

2026

B2B2C Events in Sussex and London

With over 25 years of marketing events agency and art + installation experience under our belt for clients including Pan Macmillan, Selfridges, Ace & Tate and Bumble, the Honey House agency arm launched in 2026. We help family-facing, impact-led brands tactfully target family audiences with an in-person, meaningful and memorable event launch or event series in London or Sussex.

Fundraising and Community Currency

Parental social isolation is a societal and community problem. And although council and government budgets are dwindling, we know local businesses still care. We don't want the decline of the physical meeting place to mean today's parents have nowhere to go in Worthing, Sussex and beyond. We're actively seeking event sponsors and partners to support our Community Currency initiative to reverse this trend.

2027

Honey House Destination

So far, we’ve brought the Honey House experience to lifestyle venues across Sussex and London. But our dream is to create a permanent home for Honey House: a physical space in Worthing designed to bring our vision to life. A considered and creative “third space” unlike anything currently found in the UK. Until then we’re helping other venues power up their places - to become more family-friendly.

The Family Places Gap

There’s a growing gap between the places families need to thrive and the places that currently exist. We’ve developed eleven pillars over the years, shaped by parent feedback and the real challenges families face. Together, they define what makes a place or event nourishing for parents, engaging for children and beneficial for the whole family.

Considered Spaces

Nicely designed environment, no banana fragments on the floor.

Step 1
Step 2

Simple Creativity

Doing something with their hands makes parent and children feel at ease.

Accessibility

We welcome mums and dads, we don’t create for the Instagram aesthetic and we keep costs low.

Step 3

A Culture of Respect

Parents need to feel empowered, not infantilised. We treat our parents with respect.

Infant Suitability

Contained spaces for toddlers and all the amenities you’d expect.

Sustainable Materials

Most of the resources we use already exist and are donated by our community or upcycled.

Wellbeing

Building places that truly work for parents and families creates whole family wellbeing.

We use these pillars across our own events and with our clients, empowering places and providers to design experiences that truly work for families. Together, we can close the Family Places Gap and create more opportunities for community, creativity and family wellbeing.

Honest Conversation

We model honest and vulnerable conversation and make space for parents to talk.

Community

We swap out fleeting, fluffy moments for experiences that nurture vital community.

Restorative Play

Collaborative and sustainable resources that promote rest and recharging.

Identity

Who is the person beyond the parent? We explore shifting identity out in the open.

“Yes it’s about the physical space. But it’s also about what the physical place enables. Honey House experiences support the crucial and delicate re-building of a parents’ identity as they navigate the early years, orchestrate meaningful in-person community and provide much-needed wellbeing boosts throughout what is inevitably a very testing time in a parent’s life.” Daisy Hill, Honey House Founder
